ChatGPT API - The AI Gold Rush: Get Rich or Chat Tryin'

By Voice of Treason

Alright, let's talk about ChatGPT and the AI gold rush that's about to happen. Businesses can now get paid for services built on this large language model, which means chatbots are gonna start appearing everywhere. And you know what that means? That's right, you can finally have a robot friend to talk to.

OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, released API access to it and Whisper, a speech recognition AI, on March 1st. And within an hour, people were already hooking up their unofficial ChatGPT tools to the official API. Tens of thousands of users were using QuickVid AI, which automates much of the creative process involved in generating ideas for YouTube videos. You input details about the topic of your video and what kind of category you’d like it to sit in, and then QuickVid interrogates ChatGPT to create a script. Other generative AI tools then voice the script and create visuals.

What was previously a cottage industry of hobbyists operating in a licensing gray area can now turn their tinkering into fully-fledged businesses. And that's because adding AI capabilities to applications is much more accessible and affordable now. Take Hassan El Mghari, who runs TwitterBio, which uses ChatGPT’s computational power to generate Twitter profile text for users. He says this release means a lot for companies.

But before, businesses were hesitant to use ChatGPT because they were afraid their data would be swallowed up by the model. That's why OpenAI changed its data retention policy. They now only hold on to users’ data for 30 days and promised that they won't use data that users input to train their models. According to David Foster, partner at Applied Data Science Partners, this change is critical for getting companies to use the API. It shows a lot of commitment from OpenAI to basically state, "Look, you can use this now, risk-free for your company. You’re not going to find your company’s data turning up in that general model."

And the falling price of access to large language models means there will likely be a proliferation of AI chatbots in the near future. API access to ChatGPT (or more officially, what OpenAI is calling GPT3.5) is 10 times cheaper than access to OpenAI’s lower-powered GPT3 API. That's insane!

Alex Volkov, founder of the Targum language translator for videos, which was built unofficially off the back of ChatGPT at a December 2022 hackathon, says it's much cheaper and much faster. And that doesn't happen usually. With the API world, usually prices go up.

So, if you're a founder, it's an amazing time to be one. Because of how cheap it is and how easy it is to integrate, every app out there is going to have some type of chat interface or LLM integration. People are going to have to get very used to talking to AI. And I, for one, can't wait to have a robot friend.

Revolutionizing the Future: AI Language Model ChatGPT Takes the World by Storm!

By Poison Irene

Well hello, my darlings! Today we're talking about ChatGPT, the neural language model that has taken the tech world by storm! Move over Instagram and TikTok, there's a new player in town!

Now, for those of you who don't know, ChatGPT is a language model that can generate responses to text prompts. It can translate languages, generate content, and even act as a coding assistant. And let me tell you, this baby is a real winner. According to a report by SimilarWeb, ChatGPT has over 100 million users and is the fastest-growing app to date. Talk about impressive!

So, let's take a look at the five tasks ChatGPT does best to boost your business productivity. First up, it can automate tasks and workflows. That means it can schedule meetings, generate event reminders, and even respond to messages. It's like having a personal assistant without the high price tag!

Next up, ChatGPT can act as a coding assistant. It can write and debug code, generate visualizations, and manage WordPress plugins. Talk about a tech genius!

Third on the list, ChatGPT can act as an advanced search engine, providing contextually relevant answers to user questions. That's right, no more sifting through endless links to find what you're looking for.

Fourth, ChatGPT can generate content for you, including ideas for social media and business concepts. It can even recreate existing content to increase its chances of going viral. Now, that's impressive!

And last but not least, ChatGPT can generate movie scripts, stories, and even song lyrics. You name it, ChatGPT can do it!

Now, as much as I love ChatGPT, there are a few things it can't do. For instance, it can't always deliver accurate results. It can give inaccurate and biased responses, and it sometimes uses repetitive phrases that impact the overall quality of the content.

Another shortcoming is that ChatGPT has limited data access. It has been trained using data until 2021, so it doesn't have access to current events. So, while it's impressive, it can't always be relied upon.

And let's not forget, ChatGPT cannot verify legal and ethical issues associated with the content it generates. It can raise privacy concerns and copyright infringement issues.

Plus, ChatGPT lacks the critical thinking ability to solve complex problems. It generates responses based on patterns in data, but it can't think outside the box. Developers still need intuition and creativity skills to take their work to the next level.

But all in all, ChatGPT is a fabulous addition to the tech world. It's fast, reliable, and can make our lives a whole lot easier. So, if you haven't tried ChatGPT yet, what are you waiting for? Trust me, this is one app you won't want to miss out on!

Slack introduces ChatGPT app to help you sound smart in meetings (or at least make it seem like you're paying attention)

By Bilbao

Hey everybody, did you hear the news? Slack has gone and gotten itself a ChatGPT app! That's right, you can now have an AI-generated buddy to help you out with your conversations and threads on Slack.

According to Slack, this app can draft messages and summarize threads like nobody's business. All you gotta do is click on the thread's menu button and select the "summarize thread" or "draft reply" option, and voila! You've got yourself a summary or response that only you can see. And if you're feeling lazy and don't wanna do any research, the ChatGPT app can also give you answers and insights on any topic you're interested in.

But don't worry, folks, OpenAI won't use any of your data to train its language models. And if you're a Salesforce user, you can also use their own generative AI system called Einstein, which has integration with OpenAI's tech. That means you can use natural-language prompts directly within your Salesforce CRM to generate content that adapts to changing customer needs in real-time.

Honestly, this is just another example of AI creeping into every nook and cranny of our lives. But at least now you don't have to waste your brainpower coming up with responses to your coworkers' terrible jokes in Slack DMs. Let the ChatGPT app do the work for you!
